Our philosophy: Traditional quality

Alfred’s is a spacious complex set over two floors. The style is modern Manhattan with exposed steel beams, strip-oak flooring and bespoke contemporary artwork. A large atrium with glass balcony welcomes you, adorned with sofa lounge and fireplace. In Alfred’s the main focus of the design was to create an enjoyable, stress-free environment. Customers are well catered for with six public facilities, two ladies, two gents and two disabled - a total of twenty-one cubicles. A lift and where possible ramps have been installed instead of steps to give the less mobile excellent access

The downstairs bar has a plentiful array of beers, wines and cocktails, along with the ‘Deli Menu’ lunchtime option.
Upstairs opens out into a large dining area with a central, open-plan grill kitchen. Customers are able to choose from the great selection fish and meat at the counter, even down to the size and weight.

However the key to Alfreds is the sheer abundance of space and variety of food and drink, which allows for all tastes and sizes to be accommodated at great value.

Functions & Special Events

Alfreds does cater for all types of functions, large or small, be them birthdays, weddings and anniversaries. The new conservatory opened in May 2008 is an ideal area for functions of up to 40 people. Please contact one of our management team for availability and prices.

Under 16’s

Alfreds welcomes all age ranges of children and has a number of high chairs available for the customers’ convenience. On Sundays a children’s’ roast is on offer so families don’t miss out. On Friday and Saturday evenings we do ask if under 16’s are sat at the first sitting, as Alfreds does get extremely busy after nine pm.

Ground Floor Bar Drinks Served 11am-2am (Specials Menu 12-3pm)
Restaurant Service 12-3pm and 6.00-12pm approx (food orders until 10pm)

Sunday

Ground Floor Bar Drinks Served 11am-11pm Restaurant Service 12-4pm approx.
